This painting was created en plein air or on location at Three Sisters.
About 15 minutes from the artist residency are enchanting rock formations just off-shore. The three formations are named Three Sisters. I arrived on location ready to paint in misting rain, but as soon as the caps were off the acrylics it started to pour. I continued to paint and it led to one of the most memorable paintings from my time in Newfoundland. Painted in the pouring rain.
