Holding Hope at Bareneed | Original Acrylic Painting

CA$150.00
Only 1 available

This painting was created en plein air or on location at Bareneed.

From the deck at Bareneed, I spent many hours in the evenings watching the sea birds fish right in front of the residency. These birds were experts at diving for purple mussels and crabs. It was fascinating to watch how they would fly high above a rocky outcropping to drop the shells, hoping to pry them open. This particular gull often hung out near the residency and was the perfect subject for a plein air painting.

This acrylic painting was created on handcrafted paper, using saltwater from the Atlantic Ocean to mix the colours. The painting measures approximately 5x7 inches and features deckled edges.
