This painting was created en plein air or on location at Bay Bulls.
This was the very first plein air painting that I created while in Newfoundland. It was such an eye-opening experience, matching the tones of the sea to the colours of paint. This piece was created while taking a short hike at Bay Bulls before going on a puffin watching boat tour. I stood in the sunshine, and fell in love with plein air painting.
